Hi, I am Kevin Gallant and I am one of the Communicators for LL905. Along with Cindy Smith, we provide information on what’s happening within our local, the committee’s and with the labor movement in general. We have a monthly newsletter which we print and hand out each month. I recently joined the Executive Board to help with the newsletter. Since Covid happened we lost the ability to print our newsletter. Let’s hope we are done with that! The newsletters are also archived here on the LL905 website. Leonard Yeung was the previous Communicator and he did an excellent job. Leonard has since retired and I hope we can keep up the great work he did.
On June 13-14th of 2024 Frank Saptel, who is a Communications Representative for IAM Canada, provided website training at District 78. In a short time Frank provided us with a great deal of knowledge on how to manage and keep the website updated. He told us of the history of the IAMAW and the work its members have done since its creation more than 100 years ago. Frank trained us on how to use software called WordPress to manage the website. This software is great and should help keeping the website updated easy!
